The reference description reports the descriptions / definitions in a less formal way than the RDF Schema at the namespace URI above.

dc:description rdf:parseType = Literal	The Math-Net Descriptors 1.1 namespace providing access to it's content by means of an RDF Schema. Math-Net Descriptors 1.1 provides RDF Schema definitions for descriptors and their relations used in the Math-Net Subject Scheme 1.1 and the Math-Net Type Scheme 1.1. Relations amongst these descriptors are given in terms of subClassOf. Some more descriptors are found in http://www.iwi-iuk.org/material/RDF/1.1/Schema/Class/mn. Formally it is set up using RDF/RDFS as syntactic / semantic framework. Math-Net Descriptors 1.1 defines resources as its entries, which are instances of an RDF Class Descriptor. This class is defined in the "Math-Net Resource Classes RDF Schema" (http://www.iwi-iuk.org/material/RDF/1.1/Schema/Class/). In a RDF/XML coded reference a descriptor with value Y and URI-Reference Z of the current scheme has to be called by XML coding, which contains a RDF-equivalent to <mnst:Descriptor rdf:value="Y" rdf:about="Z"/>. For proper use of the schemes in MetaData records, one should ask, <b>whether</b> a given resource <b>IS ABOUT something</b> and then use the items according to the Subject Scheme 1.1 <b>OR</b> whether a resource <b>IS AN EXAMPLE of something</b>. In the latter case one should use the Type-Scheme.
