Math-Net Type Scheme 1.1 is an ordering system for Types of web pages typically found on Web-Servers of Mathematical Institutions. Further Classes are in the Class Schema http://www.iwi-iuk.org/material/RDF/1.1/Schema/Class/.

The Type Scheme and a companion Subject Scheme share an underlying set of descriptors, which is defined using RDF Schema language. The settings are recalled here in less technical form.

Descriptors with value Y and URI-Reference Z in RDF/XML must be called by a reference, which contains an equivalent of

<mnst:Descriptor  rdf:value="Y" rdf:about="Z"/>

For proper use of the schemes in MetaData records, one should ask, whether a given resource IS ABOUT something (has a theme in the indicated range) and use a suitable descriptor with dc:subject OR whether a resource IS AN EXAMPLE of something. In the second case one should indicate the resource is of type something and use it with rdf:type.

The Standard labels of the Math-Net Page Help Files are recorded here as (english) names. The rdf:value entries may be used in dumb down to unqualified Dublin Core.
